Fourth Sunday of Advent

The Fourth Sunday of Advent signifies Love, focusing on God's immense love shown through sending His Son, Jesus, for our salvation (the Incarnation). It's a call to reflect on this ultimate gift of love, preparing our hearts to receive Christ, and to share His love through kindness and faith, completing the Advent journey towards Christmas.

For our last week of first semester Rel. Ed. classes, all students

attended a guided Eucharistic Adoration service in the church,

followed by classroom Christmas celebrations.

The Religious Education Office will be closed on the following days:

-December 24 & 25

-January 1 & 2

Please note: Parish Offices be closed January 1st & there will not be 6:30 AM Mass.

Catechist Assistants Needed

Volunteers Wanted: Do you have an hour available to help in a 7th grade class on Wednesdays at 5:30 or a 6th Grade class on Tuesdays at 4:30? We are looking for an assistant to help in these classes. This is a wonderful way for parents to be involved without the additional commitment of leading a class or a college student needing some service hours. This role functions more as a chaperone vs. instructor. Please contact our office if you are available to volunteer at 402-896-5683 or fill out the volunteer form below. Safe Environment Certification will be required if over 19.

Middle School Ministry Staffing Update

Mike Kennedy has decided to step away from his role at St. Stephen the Martyr. We are grateful for the time and service he shared with our community, and we ask that you keep him in your prayers as he begins a new chapter.

As we move forward, the Religious Education team will continue supporting our Confirmation students, catechists, and families, while also working on next steps for Middle School Youth Ministry. Please contact the parish office with any questions.

Steubenville Youth Conference July 10-12

The Fourth Sunday of Advent focuses on Love, the culmination of the Advent journey, highlighting God's immense love in sending Jesus (the Incarnation) and calling us to reflect that love in our own lives through kindness and service, preparing our hearts to welcome Christ. It's the final week of preparation, emphasizing the "Angel's Candle" message of peace and God's presence ("Emmanuel"), urging faith, compassion, and openness to divine love.
