November 2: All Souls’ Day is celebrated all around the world in a variety of ways. Generally speaking, All Souls’ Day customs relate to celebrating your loved ones who have passed away. This could mean visiting their cemetery, lighting a candle at Mass in honor of them, or cooking a meal that reminds you of them. You could even participate in an activity they loved during their time on earth, such as playing music or a game they enjoyed.

Diaper Drive

Thank you to all who have donated diapers during the diaper drive hosted in partnership with St. Stephen the Martyr Council of Catholic Women, St. Stephen the Martyr Respect Life Ministry, Omaha Urban Council of Catholic Women and Spirit Catholic Radio.

During Rel. Ed. classes last week, our families donated around 1500 diapers.

Diapers will be distributed to: EPS, Mater Filius, Bethlehem House, Catholic Charities and Christ Child Institute.

Is your child not feeling well?

Please keep children home from class if they are not feeling well. We are all in this together! Keeping sick children home helps us all stay healthy and in school.

The Leadership Team for the Middle School Youth Group (launching this winter) is in need of additional individuals who feel the call to serve. There are a number of opportunities to be a part of this great opportunity for our middle school students to strengthen their faith and have fun while doing so. November 3 St. Martin de Porres

patron saint of African Americans people, mixed-race people, barbers, innkeepers, public health workers

Saint Martin de Porres is known for his charity, humility, and compassion, especially towards the poor and sick of all races. He is the patron saint of social justice, racial harmony, and mixed-race people, and is also associated with manual labor and healing. His life included many miracles, such as the ability to communicate with and heal animals, heal the sick, and bilocation.

November 4-St. Charles Borromeo

patron saint of bishops, catechists, cardinals, seminarians, spiritual leaders

Saint Charles Borromeo is known for his significant role as a church reformer during the Counter-Reformation, particularly as the Archbishop of Milan. He is celebrated for his work in establishing a more disciplined and educated clergy, founding seminaries, and creating the first "Sunday school" to teach religious doctrine to children. He is also remembered for his charity, especially in providing food during a famine and caring for the sick during a plague.
