Here is an art contest for even our youngest students. K-12 students are invited to show their creative talents using messages from the Circle of Grace lessons. Winners in each category will receive a gift card as well as a congratulatory letter from Archbishop George Lucas!

Parents-Do you have a High Schooler?

Join us for Witness Wednesdays! Alongside teens from both St. Wenceslaus and St. Stephen the Martyr, we will spend time together learning from powerful witnesses to our faith, diving into the Bible, exploring how to live our faith in the world, and spending time in front of the Blessed Sacrament allowing God to love us and answer that love with praise & worship.

Witness Wednesdays are every Wednesday (unless noted differently below) from 8-9:30 PM and the location rotates between St. Stephen the Martyr and St. Wenceslaus. Snacks and drinks are provided, except on Adoration evenings.

-February 12th – Circle of Grace Night at St. Stephen the Martyr in the Gonderinger Parish Center

-February 19th – Adoration Night at St. Wenceslaus

-February 26th – “Be Real” Night featuring the Culture Project Missionaries discussing the good and bad of Social Media at St. Stephen the Martyr in the Gonderinger Parish Center

Confirmation Retreat- Grade 8

On March 21 & 22, One Heart One Fire Ministries, a local nonprofit ministry team based in the Omaha Archdiocese, will provide a wonderful Confirmation Retreat for St. Stephen the Martyr Confirmation Candidates. Our 8th graders will have the opportunity to experience God and grow in relationship with Him, as well as with one another. We will hear from speakers, play games, engage in small group activities, experience Eucharistic Adoration, as well as enjoy opportunities to pray with and for one another. Please keep all the Confirmation candidates and the retreat team in your prayers as we journey into God’s heart together.

Seeking Young Adult Volunteers

One of the things that makes this Confirmation Retreat special is that the

small group discussions are led by teen and young adult volunteers in high school or college! (Tenth grade and older preferably)

As parents, we know that middle-schoolers are often more open to talking with peers than parents. Therefore, we are asking for older siblings (or cousins or family friends, etc.) to help out with both the Confirmation Retreats. They do not need to possess any special qualifications other than an ability to socialize with others in an honest and respectful way. These teen and young adult volunteers will be given discussion questions to use with their groups, as well as instructions on how to serve as a small group leader at the beginning of the retreat. Adults will be present to assist small group leaders.

Please speak to your high school/college teens and young adults about this great opportunity to be a role model for the middle schoolers of our church and to help make these retreats a memorable experience for your Confirmation candidates.
