Here is an art contest for even our youngest students. K-12 students are invited to show their creative talents using messages from the Circle of Grace lessons. Winners in each category will receive a gift card as well as a congratulatory letter from Archbishop George Lucas!

Parents-Do you have a High Schooler?
Join us for Witness Wednesdays! Alongside teens from both St. Wenceslaus and St. Stephen the Martyr, we will spend time together learning from powerful witnesses to our faith, diving into the Bible, exploring how to live our faith in the world, and spending time in front of the Blessed Sacrament allowing God to love us and answer that love with praise & worship.
Witness Wednesdays are every Wednesday (unless noted differently below) from 8-9:30 PM and the location rotates between St. Stephen the Martyr and St. Wenceslaus. Snacks and drinks are provided, except on Adoration evenings.
-February 5th – Scripture Study night with Fr. Tobias at St. Wenceslaus in the St. Elizabeth Room
-February 12th – Circle of Grace Night at St. Stephen the Martyr in the Gonderinger Parish Center
Confirmation Retreat- Grade 8
On Friday, March 21st for the SSM 5-day school students or Saturday, March 22nd for the Religious Education students, One Heart One Fire Ministries, a local nonprofit ministry team based in the Omaha Archdiocese, will provide a wonderful Confirmation Retreat for the St. Stephen the Martyr Confirmation Candidates. Your child will have the opportunity to experience God and grow in relationship with Him, as well as with one another. We will hear from speakers, play games, engage in small group activities, experience Eucharistic Adoration, as well as enjoy opportunities to pray with and for one another. As your child’s primary teacher and leader in their faith, we ask YOU to keep your child, all the Confirmation candidates, and the retreat team in your prayers as we journey into God’s heart together.
Seeking Young Adult Volunteers
One of the things that makes this Confirmation Retreat special is that the
small group discussions are led by teen and young adult volunteers in high school or college! (Tenth grade and older preferably)
As parents, we know that middle-schoolers are often more open to talking with peers than parents. Therefore, we are asking for older siblings (or cousins or family friends, etc.) to help out with both the March 21st and March 22nd Confirmation Retreats. They do not need to possess any special qualifications other than an ability to socialize with others in an honest and respectful way. These teen and young adult volunteers will be given discussion questions to use with their groups, as well as instructions on how to serve as a small group leader at the beginning of the retreat. Adults will be present to assist small group leaders.
Please speak to your high school/college teens and young adults about this great opportunity to be a role model for the middle schoolers of our church and to help make these retreats a memorable experience for your Confirmation candidates. Thank you!

On the Dignity of the Human Person
One of your friends says that when she was at Mass on Sunday, the Priest quoted the Catechism of the Catholic Church: “Human life is sacred” and that “human life must be respected and protected absolutely from the moment of conception” (CCC 2258, 2270). However, your friend is confused about why human life is “sacred” and “must be respected and protected absolutely” and wants you to help her understand this teaching. Explain why human life is sacred from the moment of conception and how abortion violates the sacred dignity of the unborn child and their mother.

Looking for volunteers to help guide kids on the ultimate Alaskan adventure where northern lights glow over majestic mountains, racing rivers, and glistening glaciers. As kids trek the tundra, they'll explore how easy it is to lose sight of what's true in our wild world today. Pointing them towards Jesus, True North Totally Catholic VBS shows them that He is a faithful friend we can always trust. He is our True North!
