Happy Saint Patrick's Day!
Prepare to experience God’s mercy this Lent! Join us for three evenings of Lenten renewal focused on the Eucharist with speaker Fr. Ralph O’ Donnell on March 17 & 18. On March 19, parishioners will be invited to receive the grace of the Sacrament of Reconciliation at our Parish-Wide Reconciliation Service.
There will be a freewill offering at the Mission benefitting Catholic Charities of Omaha.
Fr. O’Donnell will cover the following themes:
- The Holy Eucharist: Bread Come Down from Heaven
- The Holy Eucharist: Bread of Life
- The Holy Eucharist: Bread for the Journey
Light hospitality will be provided.

8th Graders Service Opportunity
Sign up to donate lunchmeat sandwiches to be sent to local organizations for those who are hungry and needing a sack lunch meal. Dropoff is in the Parish Center on Monday, March 18. Your generosity directly blesses those who hunger! Please see signup for more information.

Fish Fry Update
A note for families with children:
All children, ages 19 and under, must be accompanied by an adult at St. Stephen the Martyr Knights of Columbus Fish Frys. Parents/guardians are responsible for their children and must supervise their children both indoors and outdoors, including if children are on the school playground and/or field.
Make Every Day A Sundae - Silent Auction Basket
One of the exciting features of the silent auction are all the gift baskets that are up for bid. We are asking our Religious Education families to help us as we collect items to make an Ice Cream Sundae Basket. This has always been a popular basket each year. Check out the list below and drop off your donation to the Religious Education Office by Thursday, March 15, 2024.

Vacation Bible School

Station Leaders are the core of VBS. They are our volunteers who present the material in the stations to the children. Each station leader will have a manual that is easy to follow with the day's activities. All adult volunteers must be Safe Environment Trained and can register one child for FREE.
Youth Volunteers
Help volunteer during Vacation Bible School! Youth volunteers must be going into 7th grade in the Fall of 2024 and up to age 18. Please prayerfully consider joining us in prayer for God’s unborn children this coming Thursday, March 21, 2024 as part of the 40 Days for Life Campaign. We have MANY 1 hour spots to fill for our assigned vigil day.
Opportunities to pray are available at the Bellevue abortion facility, the SSM Adoration Chapel and at home.

Knights of Columbus Scholarship
The Saint Stephens Knights of Columbus are accepting applications for the 2024 Deacon Wesley Kreun Memorial Scholarship. This is not an academic scholarship. We award based upon the applicant’s service to our parish family and involvement in other charitable activities which align with our Catholic faith. We will award four $500 dollar 1-year scholarships to individuals attending a local Catholic High School and four $1,000 1-year scholarships to individuals attending an accredited college or university. Additionally, new this year, we will award one $1,000 scholarship to an individual attending a trade school. Applications are available either from the kiosk in the Gathering Space or from our website kofc10160.org until April 30, 24. Completed applications must be submitted to the Saint Stephen the Martyr Parish Office by May 1st. If you have any questions, please reach out to Hank Hardy at hhardy@janome-america.com.

We’ll start in the Gongeringer Parish Center with donuts, “Sleepless from Seattle” coffee cart, and face painting. Then we’ll head out to the field to continue the Easter fun with an egg hunt and a visit from live bunnies for the kids to pet and hold!

Come join St. Stephen the Martyr and St. Wenceslaus students as we travel to and attend the Steubenville conference in Rochester, Minnesota. It is an exciting weekend conference that evangelizes, equips and empowers 9th-12th grade youth. Enjoy keynote speakers, praise and worship, Eucharistic Adoration, Reconciliation, and much more. In our ever-changing world, Jesus is the answer to the longing of our hearts for meaning, fulfillment, security, and love. This summer, join hundreds of Catholic teens to experience the peace of Jesus Christ, who is our refuge and never wearies of loving us.
All rising freshmen in high school through rising freshmen in college are invited to attend this weekend retreat with our group.
Can you help make our Casino Royale Dinner and Auction event a success? We need volunteers to help with pre-event setup and volunteers to help the night of the event with registration, raffle ticket sales and auction checkout.
