Last week your child/children should have all brought home a beautiful handmade invitation to this week's Religious Education Family Mass. The most important part of your child's religious education is to learn about the sacrifice of Jesus Christ offered at every Mass!

Mass replaces all regular class times next week!

Do NOT go to the classrooms, but instead go to the church at 5:30 on either of the days with your family and sign in there for attendance.

All students must attend with an adult.

All families are invited to join us in the Dining Room after Mass for a Pizza Potluck!

New Door Schedule for Church Doors

The exterior doors of the Church have been updated to allow for automated locking. The doors are scheduled as follows:
• Monday - Friday*: 6 AM - 9 PM

• Saturday: 6:30 AM - 6:30 PM

• Sunday: 6:30 AM - 7:30 PM*

When school is in session, doors will be locked during school Masses on Tuesdays, Wednesdays & Fridays from 8:20 - 9:15 AM.

Disciple of Christ Award

Religious Education Catechists Needed

Due to some changes in schedules, we are in need a few more volunteer catechists. Please contact the Rel. Ed. office if you can volunteer at 402-896-5683. Classes are one hour long, and all materials and lesson plans are provided.

We need assistance in the following classes:

Grade 2-Wednesday at 5:30 p.m. (assist as a co-catechist)

Grade 1-Wednesday at 4:00 p.m. (assist as a co-catechist)

Please help Hearts Open Wide Service Ministry gather sandwiches to be donated to meal programs of local charities. Please donate lunchmeat sandwiches that can be made from one loaf of bread (9-10 sandwiches). Drop off donations on Monday, Nov. 13th in the Parish Center kitchen. Please see the sign-up for detailed information, as there are specific directions to make the sandwiches usable for our charities. Thank you for completing this Corporal Work of Mercy of feeding the hungry

Please participate in our annual Angel Tree Project, sponsored by the St. Stephen the Martyr Social Justice Ministry. This year, we will provide gifts for the elderly served by the Eastern Nebraska Office on Aging (ENOA).

There are Three Ways to Participate:

Sign up to “adopt” a specific person(s). Our goal is to adopt 100 individuals. Sign-up sheets & and wish lists will be available in the Gathering Space after all Masses on Saturday, November 4th, and Sunday, November 5th. Wish lists contain up to three items. Wrapped/tagged gifts can be returned under the tree in the Gathering Space through December 3rd.
Take an ornament from one of the trees and return the item(s) under the trees. These items should not be wrapped. ENOA will give them to clients as needed.
Give Stamps, Gift Cards, Cash/Checks: You can donate books of stamps, $10 or $25 gift cards (Walmart or Target), cash or checks by placing them in the wooden drop box labeled “Angel Tree Project” in the Gathering Space. Checks should be made out to St. Stephen the Martyr Church.
